Artificial intelligence is penetrating into every aspect of our lives. it is used forsoftware development, web browsing, image generation,Even daily desktop use. With so much technological power at our fingertips these days, it’s clear that we must also change some processes to adapt to current trends. To that end, Meta plans to allow certain job seekers to use artificial intelligence in coding tests.

In an internal memo seen by 404 Media and reported by Wired, Meta shared plans to allow potential employees to use an "AI assistant" during interviews. To further address this paradigm shift, the company is also looking for volunteers willing to participate in mock interviews to leverage AI technology in their interviews. This process may further shape and refine the actual interview experience.

Meta says this shift in interviewing practices reflects the working environment of today’s engineers and can also reduce the effectiveness of cheating methods using large language models (LLMs).

After Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg's multibillion-dollar attempt to create the Metaverse failed, the company has pivoted to go all-in on its artificial intelligence strategy. The company recently assembled a team of super-intelligence aimed at taking Meta to the top of the AI race. This dedicated team is made up of several former OpenAI employees, all of whom Zuckerberg personally poached through "ridiculous" job offers.

A spokesperson for Meta confirmed the hiring plans to the outlet, noting that it was not surprising that the move was being considered. It’s worth noting, however, that the company is currently in a pilot phase and it’s unclear the exact scope of the changes to the hiring process, potential safeguards to fairly evaluate candidates, or a specific implementation timeline.
