According to the latest data table from market research firm Circana, Microsoft's recent strategy of porting some of its first-party game works to the PlayStation 5 (PS5) platform has achieved remarkable results, which further explains why Xbox's games have shifted to a multi-platform strategy.

Data shows that in the U.S. market (including physical and digital version sales) in the second quarter of 2025 (April 6 to July 5), six of the top ten best-selling games on the PS5 platform were published by Microsoft.
The specific rankings are as follows:
Forza Horizon 5 (Microsoft)
"The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered" (Microsoft)
"MLB Major League Baseball 25"
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (Microsoft)
Doom: Dark Ages (Microsoft)
Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Ancient Circle (Microsoft)
Minecraft (Microsoft)
"Assassin's Creed: Shadows"
"Give Him Love 5"
"WWE 2K25"

"Forza Horizon 5" has become the best-selling newly released game on the PS5 platform so far this year, with sales exceeding 3 million copies on the console alone. In addition, "The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered" ranked second on the PS5 game sales list this quarter, followed by long-term best-selling works such as "Call of Duty" and "Minecraft".
