Blogger Setsuna Digital broke the news that Samsung plans to complete the quality test of the HPB solution on the Exynos 2600 in October this year. If the progress goes well, it will be put into mass production immediately. The Galaxy S26 series will launch with Exynos 2600.It is reported that the Galaxy S26 series will launch both Snapdragon and Exynos versions. The former is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, and the latter is equipped with Exynos 2600.
Among them, Exynos 2600 is the world's first 2nm mobile phone chip. It is manufactured based on Samsung's SF2 process, which is Samsung's first-generation 2nm process. Compared with the second-generation 3GAP 3nm process, SF2 can reduce power consumption by 25% under the same computing frequency and complexity.
In terms of CPU, Exynos 2600 adopts a 1+3+6 ten-core design. The main frequency of the super large core is 3.55GHz, the main frequency of the large core is 2.96GHz, and the main frequency of the small core is 2.46GHz. The super large core is Arm's latest Cortex-X9 series, which is the most powerful mobile phone chip in Samsung's history.
According to the progress, threeStar is moving faster on the 2nm advanced process than its rivals Apple, Qualcomm and MediaTek.The latter three brands will not switch to the 2nm process until September next year at the earliest. The relevant chips are the A20 series, Snapdragon 8 Elite 3 and Dimensity 9600.
