On July 30, local time, the White House issued a statement saying that US President Trump signed an executive order to suspend the minimum tax exemption for low-value goods.

The statement stated that starting from August 29, imported goods with a value equal to or less than US$800 and originally eligible for minimum tax exemption sent by means other than the international postal network will be subject to all applicable duties. For shipments shipped through the international postal system, packages will be subject to customs duties based on ad valorem or specific taxes.
