AMD probably doesn't have to brag about its lead on the leaderboards, we've already seen a number of benchmark results showing AMD overtaking Intel. Whether it's a mainstream consumer CPU or a server-grade chip, AMD's recent high-performance CPUs top most benchmarks and are known as the maker of "the world's fastest processors."

The statement that AMD is the fastest in all areas seems to be true, as AMD's latest processors dominate almost every area. With Threadripper, Ryzen AI Max and Ryzen 9000 chips, AMD has even secured its first and second spot in the Top500 supercomputers and achieved leading performance figures.

In a slide, AMD boasted of its dominance of the CPU market, including in cloud computing, enterprise and artificial intelligence with its EPYC 9005 series; in HEDT and mainstream workstations with its Threadripper 9000 series; and in 3D gaming with its Ryzen 9000X3D chips.

AMD also shared its achievement of taking both gold and silver medals in the latest global Top500 supercomputer rankings, but that data is for November 2024. However, even with the latest June 2025 data, AMD ranks first and second with its EPYC-based EL Captain and Frontier supercomputers, respectively.

The recently released Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9000 WX series has surpassed the Intel Xeon 6 series, and Threadripper 9000 also provides leading performance in the workstation field, with performance improvements of up to 30%. Even so, all Zen 5-based processor lines have proven to be the best on the market, with the Ryzen 9000 series supplanting all existing modern CPU lines in gaming workloads.

AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D delivers leading gaming and productivity performance

The AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D is currently the fastest gaming processor in the world, but the 9800X3D is just as good at gaming workloads. On the mobile front, the Ryzen 9 9955HX3D demonstrates serious gaming and productivity prowess, while the Ryzen AI Max series is currently the only Windows processor capable of running 128B parametric models natively. Additionally, the custom Ryzen Z2 series, based on the Zen 5 architecture, is quickly gaining traction among gaming console manufacturers and offers leading iGPU performance.
