In a recent interview with "Windows Central", Xbox head Phil Spencer mentioned that Microsoft may revive some old IPs, including "Banjo-Kazooie".

"You can see from our history that we're not developing every product that players want us to touch - Banjo-Kazooie fans, I hear you," Spencer said, "but when we find the right team and the right opportunity, I love going back and revisiting the stories and characters we've seen before."

The Xbox chief also specifically talked about Blizzard's older games, which he has previously expressed interest in. "What I really want to do is work with Blizzard's leadership and see where their passion lies," Spencer noted. "I say all this, but I'm not saying that Blizzard doesn't have passion for old IP, and I know from my visits to Blizzard that they definitely have passion for it. So the things that we can do together will be very exciting."

Although it is not yet certain whether we will see the resurrection of the "Banjo-Kazooie" series of games in the near future, or whether some other old IPs will release new games, at least Spencer expressed his attitude.

"Banjo-Kazooie" has returned to Nintendo's NS platform and participated in "Super Smash Bros. Special Edition" a few years ago.
