DomesticYu Shui, the director of the animated film "Little Monsters of Langlang Mountain", was interviewed by China Film Report yesterday. During the interview, Director Yu said that the film has many "hidden easter eggs" that pay homage to other classic films and games.

Director Yu said: "Several lines are related to several summer movies, including "Malice", "You Go Up", "The Unknown", and Mr. Chen Peisi's "The Stage"." Interestingly, the lines from "The Stage" do not appear in this film. Instead, "The supporting actor only has two lines" to pay tribute to the "supporting actor only has half a face" in "The Stage". At the same time, the movie also pays tribute to Mr. Chen Peisi’s classic soup scene in "Pepper Noodles".

For the domestic action game "Black Myth: Wukong", which is also based on the theme of Journey to the West, Director Yu naturally did not "let it go" and paid tribute to the classic line said by Maitreya Buddha in the third chapter, "Since you have seen the future, why not worship".

Viewers in the comment area also discovered many easter eggs:

"Little Monsters of Langlang Mountain" is the first full-length animated film in Shanghai Art Film Studio's "Chinese Tales" series. It was released in theaters across the country last Saturday (August 2). At the same time, the film also reached a cooperation with IMAX, becoming the first domestic 2D film to be released on IMAX.
