Intel CEO Chen Liwu issued a statement saying that there are many errors in the information about his past positions. And made clear that during his nearly 40-year career, he has built relationships across the globe and played a key role in a diverse ecosystem—all while acting in accordance with the highest legal and ethical standards. It also said that the board of directors fully supports the ongoing work to transform the company, provide innovative products to customers and rigorously execute plans.

The following is the full translation of Chen Liwu’s response:

I know there's a lot in the news today, and I wanted to take this opportunity to talk directly to you about these situations.

Let me start by saying this: America has been my home for over 40 years. I love this country and am deeply grateful for the opportunities it has given me. I also love this company. Leading Intel during this critical time is more than just a job—it's a privilege. This industry has given me so much, our company has played such a critical role, and it has been the honor of my career to work with all of you to restore Intel's strength and create future innovations. Intel's success is critical to America's technology and manufacturing leadership, national security, and economic strength. This is what underpins our global business. That’s what motivated me to join this team, and what drives me every day to drive the important work we do together and build a better future.

There has been a lot of misinformation circulating about my roles at Walden International and Cardion Design Systems. I want to be clear: In my nearly 40-year career, I have built relationships around the world and played an important role in our diverse ecosystem—and I have always acted in accordance with the highest legal and ethical standards. My reputation is built on trust - on doing what I say and doing things the right way. This is how I lead Intel.

We are communicating with the government to address the issues raised and ensure they have the relevant facts. I fully share the President's commitment to safeguarding America's national security and economic security, I appreciate his leadership in advancing these priorities, and I am proud to lead a company that is critical to achieving these goals.

The Board fully supports the work we are doing to transform the company, deliver innovative products to customers and execute our plans with discipline - and we are making progress. What is particularly exciting is that later this year we will use the most advanced semiconductor process technology in the country to gradually achieve mass production. This will be an important milestone that highlights your hard work and the important role Intel plays in the American technology ecosystem.

As we look to the future, our mission is clear and our opportunities are vast. I am proud to be on this journey with you.

Thank you for everything you do to make our company more competitive for the future.
