SanDisk’s official website recently launched the new PC SN5100S NVMe SSD. This product was first unveiled at an investor event in February this year. It is positioned in the mainstream consumer market and uses QLC NAND flash memory based on the BiCS8 architecture.PC SN5100S is available in M.2 2280 and M.2 2230 specifications, with capacities covering 512GB, 1TB and 2TB, and is suitable for laptops, handheld devices and desktops. It uses PCIe 4.0 x4 interface and complies with NVMe 2.0d standard.

In terms of performance,The SSD has a maximum continuous read speed of 7300MB/s and a maximum continuous write speed of 6700MB/s; the maximum 4K random read performance is 1200K IOPS and the maximum 4K random write performance is 1400K IOPS.It has a durability rating (TBW) of up to 600TBW and is backed by SanDisk's five-year limited warranty.

In terms of technical characteristics, the new product supports nCache 4.0 technology, which helps achieve fast burst write performance when transferring large files or multitasking. In addition, users can choose the static data encryption function that supports the TCG Opal v2.02 standard to provide security for sensitive data.

Currently, SanDisk has not announced the specific pricing and launch time of the PC SN5100S NVMe SSD, and more details will need to wait for subsequent announcements.
