CCTV officially announced today that China's first 8K space movie "Blue Star Outside the Window" has been finalized and will be officially released on September 5.The film was shot by the Shenzhou 13 astronaut crew (Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping, Ye Guangfu) and shows the epic 183-day journey on the Chinese Space Station. It reveals the life on the space station, the wonders of the universe and the astronauts’ true mental journeys through real space shots.

It adopts 8K resolution, 50 frame rate, and full-frame format to meet the highest technical standards for space image shooting. The images cover the magnificent landscape of the Earth, the details of the space station operation, and the real scene of the extravehicular universe.
For the first time, the audience will "visit" the Chinese Space Station from an 8K ultra-high-definition perspective, follow the astronauts' lenses to roam the stars and sea, and experience the cosmic shock that transcends the screen.
It is worth noting that this film is produced by China Central Television Group (CMG) and is the first film to bear the CMG film label and be released in theaters.
It is reported that the Shenzhou 13 manned spacecraft was launched from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on October 16, 2021, and stayed on the space station for 6 months, setting a record for the continuous flight time of Chinese astronauts in orbit.
At 09:56 on April 16, 2022, the return capsule of the Shenzhou 13 manned spacecraft successfully landed at the Dongfeng Landing Field, making the Shenzhou 13 manned mission a complete success.

It is worth noting that the camera that captured 8K images this time is a top-notch 8K camera built by a domestic manufacturer - MAVO Edge 8K.
The products that astronauts bring to the space station are specially developed by Kinefinity and China Central Radio and Television. They are specially designed to be miniaturized and lightweight to adapt to the environment of the Chinese space station. They can be fixed anywhere in the cabin or operated handheld.
The astronauts can complete the shooting through simple operations. Zhai Zhigang said before the mission, "I will make good use of this exquisite equipment."
In addition, some lenses also use domestic equipment such as Laowa 100mm T2.9 macro lens.
