Recently, Leica officially announced the launch of its first own-brand 35mm film - Leica MONOPAN 5O black and white film, bringing a new choice to film photography enthusiasts around the world. This film is priced at 4,200 yuan, with 10 boxes in total, 4 rolls per box, and an average of 105 yuan per roll. It is currently on sale through Leica’s official channels.

Leica stated that this move is to commemorate the centenary of the birth of the Leica I-type camera and pay tribute to 35mm film photography.
Leica MONOPAN 50 has ultra-fine particles and ultra-high resolution of up to 280 line pairs per millimeter, combined with ultra-full-color photosensitivity to light waves up to 780nm, showing ultimate sharpness and extraordinary tonal reproduction.
This black and white film is very suitable for use with Leica lenses, especially when performing large-format high-end output and scanning, which further demonstrates its excellent quality.

In Barnack's day, most films had very low sensitivity. The reason why Leica chose the low sensitivity (ISO50/18°) specification is to pay tribute to early film photography.
Used with high-performance Leica lenses such as Noctilux-M, Summilux-M and Summicron-M, even in bright light conditions, low sensitivity can be shot at a wide aperture, giving photos a unique Leica blur effect.
Leica also launched a new accessory for Leica M system film cameras - the Leicavit M fast film advancer, which allows you to shoot 2 frames per second continuously by pulling the film advance lever without looking away from the viewfinder. Compatible with Leica M-A, MP, M6, M7, M6TTL, M4-P and M4-2.
