Tesla recently launched a range expansion package specifically for the Cybertruck. It is reported that,The expansion pack has a capacity of approximately 47 kWh, a weight of approximately 250-272 kg, and is composed of 575 4680 batteries.
We can see from the official website,The Tesla Cybertruck Beast Edition has a cruising range of 515 kilometers. After using the mileage expansion package, the cruising range will reach 705 kilometers;
The Cybertruck all-wheel drive version has a cruising range of 547 kilometers. After using the mileage expansion package, the cruising range will reach 755 kilometers.
According to previous news, the price of this "power bank" dedicated to Tesla Cybertruck is expected to reach US$16,000, which is equivalent to approximately 114,000 RMB.
If calculated based on the battery life of 200 kilometers, then the cost for each additional kilometer is 570 yuan.
Looking at it this way, this mileage expansion package does not seem to be particularly cost-effective.
Musk said: This expansion pack is meant for users who travel long distances or use trailers, but I don’t know if any users will be willing to spend $16,000 to increase the mileage.
