A few days ago, Flyoobe, the Windows 11 Out-of-Box Experience (OOBE) customization tool, released version 1.3, adding new features such as default browser configuration, DPI handling, redesigned title pane, and more. Now, in a relatively short period of time, Flyoobe has released version 1.4, which introduces even more new features.

A relatively basic but noteworthy change this time around is that the executable has been renamed toflyo.exe. Additionally, the developers have introduced a new feature calledspot.exenew auxiliary tools. This is based on the trouble developers have had when trying to find the right tools during the Windows 11 installation process. Spot solves this problem by automatically displaying useful tools and locations, triggered by simply clicking the search icon in the upper right corner.

Importantly, Flyoobe has also added support for consumer users to register for Windows 10 Extended Security Updates (ESU). This can be accomplished regardless of whether you have a Microsoft account or not by integrating another bypass script specifically designed to obtain consumer ESU. This is useful for users who want to continue using Windows 10 and have a looming product end-of-life (EoL) deadline. Finally, the user interface (UI) has received some improvements, and the OOBE view has been refactored to make it simpler and easier to maintain.

For those interested in this process, please note that Flyoobe is an upgraded version of Flyby11, which was originally designed for unsupported PCs to bypass Windows 11 system requirements. Flyoobe has refocused on improving Windows 11 OOBE, allowing users to "lean" the operating system by installing only the software they need.

While Flyby11 is still available separately via GitHub, the developers plan to merge the two tools into a single project and then refactor. Currently, Flyoobe can be downloaded through our dedicated software section if you trust the developer. Remember, there are inherent risks in modifying Windows images, so use this utility only if you accept these risks.
