recently,The Windows 11 August 2025 cumulative update (KB5063878) pushed by Microsoft has caused SSD data corruption and failure problems for some users.Huirong Technology issued a statement saying that its SSD controller was not affected by the update.

Huirong Technology said in a statement,So far, no SSDs using Huirong controllers have been found to be affected by the Windows 11 update, and no SSD vendors have reported related issues to Huirong.

User feedback shows that when the SSD usage exceeds 60% and continuous large write operations (such as updating or installing large games) reach approximately 50GB, SSD data corruption and failure are more likely to occur.

Common SSD problems include partitions being cleared, SMART information being unreadable, I/O errors, and even the entire SSD disappearing and no longer being usable. Microsoft is currently investigating with a number of SSD partners, but the specific cause has not yet been found.
