Today, August 28, a Japanese man (32 years old) was sentenced to 2 and a half years in prison by the local court in Okayama Prefecture for stealing "Yu-Gi-Oh!" cards valued at 16 million yen, which attracted attention.
·The criminal is accused of sneaking into an office in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, on September 23, 2024, and stole a total of 44 "Yu-Gi-Oh!" cards and other items, with a total estimated value of 16,462,000 yen.
The prosecutor's sentencing request was for four years in prison, but the judge gave him a two-and-a-half-year sentence because of the crime of aggravated theft and illegal trespassing.
