Recently, Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) Vice President Hideaki Nishino said that although PC games are becoming more and more popular, playing games on PS5 has more advantages than playing games on PC.
In an interview with Nikkei Asia, Hideaki Nishino was asked about the advantages of owning a PS5 device over PCs and mobile phones. He replied that it takes cost and time to build a PC, while anyone can enjoy games on a console right out of the box.
Hideaki Nishino said: "If you want to play PC games with the same GPU performance as PS5, you have to spend money and time to build your own PC. A dedicated game console allows any player to enjoy the same technical level of games right out of the box."
A PS5 Pro model is in the pipeline. It is rumored that PS5Pro will be released at the end of 2024, supporting image quality of up to 8K60 frames and 4K120 frames, and will also have improvements in dynamic light and shadow.
