In order to protect the environment, the Danish government actually encourages people to become vegetarians, which can better reduce emissions.Denmark, one of the world's largest pork producers and consumers, is working hard to reduce its citizens' meat consumption through a series of measures and encourage people to choose a healthier and more environmentally friendly plant-based diet.
Denmark's per capita meat consumption in 2020 is about 63 kilograms. Such encouragement is obviously unacceptable to the public.
So the problem is that although Denmark once promoted the production of plant-based foods, data shows that more than half of Danes are not interested in plant-based diets.
In Denmark's view, livestock farming and meat consumption cause large amounts of carbon emissions and have a negative impact on climate change.
