"Here you go again, do you think you are a police dog?" For pet owner Paulina Mejia, the past year has been a terrifying and the most helpless year. Because my furry child likes to pick up things and take them home, the whole community is shrouded in the fog of "homicide".

Four human bones were brought home in one year, suspected to be from the same person! Pet dog picks up random things and leads to bizarre murder

On August 9, 2025, Mejia was preparing to drive to work when he suddenly found a long bone that seemed to come from the human body in the yard. At this time, Mexia had no fear in her heart, only helplessness.

this is alreadyChicarinThe fourth time I brought strange bones home, and this time I brought back most likely human bones.

Chicarin is Mejia's pet dog, a 2-year-old German shepherd whose hobby is to carry bones home.

As early as August 20, 2024 (the first time), it took a skull home in its mouth. At that time, Chicarin and another pet dog were playing with the bone in front of the house, and were discovered by the owners Mejia and his wife.

At first, the Mejia couple thought it was an animal skull, but the more they looked at it, the more strange it became, and they finally called the police. As a result of the investigation, the policeIt was found that the skull was indeed human, and there was a hole in the skull, proving that the deceased had suffered a "gunshot wound."

The police took this case very seriously at the time because a student at Texas State University disappeared after a car accident in 2020, and they suspected that the skull came from the missing person.

After collecting the skull, the police conducted genetic testing. Unfortunately, the skull's genes failed to match anyone in the genetic database, and the case remained unsolved.

By December 12, 2024 (the second time), Chicarin brought back a human tibia, which was gnawing on the bone when it was discovered.

The stalled case was pushed forward again by Chicarin,Forensic examination confirmed that the skull and tibia were from the same person.

This time, police still surveyed the surrounding area and reviewed cameras to determine where the dog got the bones.

A neighbor also broke the news and said he saw Chikalin walking on the street.

However, due to too few clues, the case remains unsolved.

Then, in April 2025 (the third time), there was another femur in Mejía’s yard for no reason.

The police went out again and searched Mejia's home. As a result, they found another human mandible, which was the same as the previous skull and came from the same person.

The case is under investigation again this year after new human bones were discovered for the fourth time.

Since they had no clue and needed to solve the case as soon as possible, the police had no choice but to turn to the pet dog Chicarin and wear a GPS device on it to determine its range of activities. Multiple tracking dogs were then dispatched to the active area, eventually discovering more skeletal remains in a nearby forest.

The case is still under investigation. Judging from the clues collected in the past, Chikarin's "achievements" this year were a skull, a tibia, a femur, a mandible, a long bone, and led the police to find other skeletons.

What is certain is that,The skull, tibia, and mandible came from the same deceased person,The femur is of uncertain human origin and is not clearly stated. The bones recently found by the police are still being tested, and it is not yet certain whether they come from the same person.

Also, based on the existing genetic information,The deceased person was not a missing person, but a homicide victim, possibly a black male, but his identity was unknown.

Finally, due to its outstanding performance, Chikarin has become a well-known local "Internet celebrity pet". Netizens have praised its potential as a police dog. With a little training, it can "join the ranks".

In this incident, Chicarin gained a good reputation, but its owner suffered a lot of pressure.

Owner Mejia was more "distraught" about the experience. She said: "I have no idea who this person is or how long he has been missing, but my puppy keeps bringing these things home."

Indeed, because of the human bones brought by Chicarin, the Mejia family had a lot more work out of thin air. This year, they have been cooperating with the police investigation and search.

Some people even suspected that the murderer was Mejia's husband, who was detained by the police for questioning.

All of the above have seriously affected the life of this family. In Mejia's own words: I am very proud that my pet dog can help the police solve crimes, but this is not fun!
