Mozilla announced today that they will end 32-bit Linux support for the Firefox web browser in 2026. Even though most other web browsers and operating systems have fully supported x86_64, Firefox continues to provide 32-bit Linux installation files.

But given that support for 32-bit Linux is waning across distributions, and the vast majority no longer even offer i686 installation images, they will remove 32-bit Linux versions in 2026.

Starting with Firefox 145, the browser will no longer support 32-bit Linux, with Firefox 144 being the last supported version. All 32-bit Linux users are recommended to migrate to a 64-bit operating system or continue using Firefox ESR 140.
