Robin Li pointed out that two years ago, Baidu began to emphasize that all Baidu products must use AI.Today, 65% of Baidu searches contain generative content, and this content is usually ranked at the top. In addition, Baidu and Baikan are also multimedia. Usually, no matter what users search for, the first thing that comes out is a gallery or video, or even a live broadcast.
In Robin Li’s view,"This is the most radical transformation among all search engines in the world, and it also represents the future of search engines."
It is understood that Baidu's highest award is an award established to encourage every Baidu person to achieve "big achievements" with a "small team". Since its launch in 2010, Baidu has distributed nearly 400 million yuan in bonuses.
According to people familiar with the matter, this year, the "Heartflow" project from Baidu's Recommendation Strategy Department, the Feed end-to-end content understanding and sequence generation project, became the only project to win the award.
Last year, four Baidu teams, "Zongheng", "Bailian", "Yunfan" and "Qingzhou", won Baidu's highest award in 2024, receiving a total of more than 28 million yuan in bonuses.
At that time, Robin Li introduced that there were three main selection criteria for the highest award: first, the project was meaningful enough; second, the results far exceeded expectations; third, the team was small enough and must be less than or equal to 10 people.
