New version of Raspberry Pi OS released, system theme can be switched to dark mode

Raspberry PiOS, which is officially developed based on Debian12Bookworm, has launched the 2023-12-05 update. A key point of this update is the introduction of GTK dark theme mode. When users upgrade to the latest version, they can switch to dark mode by going to Settings, Appearance Settings, and System.

Starting today, the new version of RaspberryPiOS can be installed through RaspberryPiImager. If you want to upgrade the current version, you can go to the update icon on the taskbar or use sudoaptfull-upgrade to complete the upgrade.

Of course, this update is not just about the GTK dark theme. This update also improves support for WayVNC encrypted links, integrates the latest version of Thonny, supports Mathematica and Scratch3 on Raspberry Pi 5, and more.
