According to the latest NBD shipping list, Intel has shipped its upcoming "Panther Lake" processor series to Samsung in May this year to supply its Galaxy Book laptops. This development indicates that final integration work on Intel's latest designs is complete and Samsung has incorporated these processors into its Galaxy Book product line.

Leaked shipping documents show that a processor code-named BGA2540 belongs to the Panther Lake series and is labeled as an integrated chip for Samsung notebooks, which confirms that the Galaxy Book is about to receive a Panther Lake update. However, so far, the specific models that will be used in Samsung Galaxy Book notebooks have not been disclosed.

The low-power PTL-U model is positioned at 15W TDP and will be available in 6-core and 8-core versions. Some models will use a combination of 4 high-performance P-Cores plus 4 LPE-Cores, while others will use 4 P-Cores with 2 LPE-Cores. Both series will be equipped with integrated graphics cards based on the Xe3 architecture, and the entry-level version will be equipped with 4 GPU cores. The higher-performance PTL-H series will expand to approximately 16 CPU cores, including 4 P-Core, 8 E-Core and 4 LPE-Core. It is reported that the integrated graphics of some H series products can have up to 12 GPU cores, but the final configuration will be announced when Intel officially releases the Panther Lake product family.

At the 2025 Berlin IFA exhibition, Acer became the only OEM manufacturer to display a notebook equipped with a Panther Lake processor, which is the Swift 16 AI. Specific information from Samsung, including specific SKU selection, screen, memory and storage configuration, etc., still needs to wait for its official announcement.
