On September 9, FAW-Volkswagen's new generation Sagitar L was officially launched, with a price range of 114,900-131,900 yuan. The car takes intelligence as its core upgrade direction and is equipped with the IQ.Pilot enhanced driving assistance system, a three-screen interactive smart cockpit and an AI voice interaction system.
The new generation Sagitar L is equipped with the IQ.Pilot enhanced driving assistance system to realize high-speed pilot assistance functions. The system covers 95% of urban road conditions and 100% of high-speed scenarios, supporting L2-level assisted driving within 120km/h. Under high-speed conditions, it can realize on- and off-ramps, large curvature turns, lateral avoidance, overtaking and lane changes; in urban conditions, it can also realize complex intersection traffic light recognition, autonomous start and stop and other functions.
The cockpit is equipped with a 15-inch 2K central control screen, a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument, and the UI has also been newly designed. The car chip is equipped with Qualcomm 8155 chip, and the computing power is 2.5 times higher than that of the previous generation model.
The voice car control function supports 20 seconds of continuous dialogue and a response time of less than 2 seconds. It can accurately recognize Sichuan dialect, Cantonese and other dialects. It has the ability to accurately understand multiple intentions and can realize more than 400 car control functions. It deeply integrates Deepseek, Doubao and self-developed large models in the automotive vertical field to answer users' general knowledge and vehicle-related questions.
In terms of appearance design, the new car adopts an integrated layout that seamlessly connects the grille and headlights. The through-type LED light strip and the illuminated brand logo enhance recognition at night. The standard IQ.Light matrix headlights have a "leave/home" mode that automatically adjusts the light sequence when unlocking/locking. The interior has a new electronic baffle design to save space in the central control area. Together with 30-color adjustable ambient lighting and diamond-shaped texture seats, it creates a fusion experience of technology and comfort.
In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 1.5T Evo2 engine, matched with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, taking into account both power output and fuel economy. The body is made of 80% high-strength steel and has been tested in extreme environments to maintain structural strength while providing a stable operating environment for intelligent hardware.
