Apple officially launches the new Apple Watch Series 11 smartwatch. The new generation of products is similar in appearance to the previous generation, but has upgraded a number of features, including the first 5G cellular network connection and more durable surface glass.

Apple Watch Series 11 succeeds the tenth generation product released last year. Although the previous generation did not bring about huge changes in appearance, it achieved a 10% reduction in body thickness and weight, and had the largest and brightest OLED display to date. At the same time, Series 10 was the first to introduce sleep apnea detection, using an accelerometer to monitor the user's breathing rate and allowing music and podcasts to be played through the watch speaker for the first time.

Series 11 released this year will be released simultaneously with the latest watchOS 26 system. The new system provides wrist swipe gestures that can be used to hang up calls, turn off notifications and alarms, and return to the watch face with one click. In addition, the upgraded Smart Stack, the Workout Buddy that uses Apple Intelligence to provide personalized exercise advice and encouragement, and the new Liquid Glass interface design that will be applied to all Apple platform devices will also become highlights of the new watch.
