Apple officially released its new MagSafe magnetic battery for iPhone Air today, priced at $99. This accessory is currently only listed as exclusive for iPhone Air, and it is unclear whether it is compatible with other iPhone 17 series models. Analysts believe that the Pro model may not be able to adapt to this battery due to its larger camera module.

The newly launched MagSafe battery can achieve up to 12W wireless charging power and supports 20W fast charging when connected to the iPhone Air and power adapter. According to the official introduction, the new battery is thin, light, portable and easy to put in your pocket. It can provide an additional 65% of power for iPhone Air, making the battery life of the whole machine the best in previous generations of iPhones.

Data shows that iPhone Air itself supports 27 hours of local video playback and 22 hours of online video playback. When paired with a MagSafe battery, video playback can last up to 40 hours, and online video can last up to 35 hours.

In addition, the new iPhone Air will be available for pre-sale on September 12 (Friday), with a starting price of US$999 (starting from the 256GB version).
