Apple released the ultra-thin iPhone Air this year, but because it canceled the physical SIM card solution, it can only be used in areas that support eSIM.Because of this special design, it was not released simultaneously with the other three iPhones this year in China.
According to Sina Technology, Apple responded to this matter by saying that we are working closely with regulatory agencies and strive to launch it in China as soon as possible.

Apple stated the following:
The new iPhone Air features an ultra-thin and light design that is more durable than any previous iPhone model, equipped with professional-grade performance, an innovative Center Stage front camera and a 48-megapixel integrated camera system, and outstanding all-day battery life.
We can’t wait for users to experience iPhone Air. We are working closely with regulators to launch in China as soon as possible.
Pre-orders for iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will start at 8pm today (Beijing time), and we will also launch iPhone Air sales as soon as possible after approval.

At present, the official website has shown: Sales information will be updated later.
In fact, both China Unicom and China Telecom have stated that they will support iPhone Air eSIM as soon as possible. China Mobile also stated that it has supported eSIM mobile phone business and will be notified later when the service is opened.
In other words, the operators are basically ready and just waiting to pass the regulatory review.
