Meituan officially introduced that on September 9, it cooperated with Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport to officially launch the country’s first airport smart food delivery service. In the past few days, there have been many busy little yellow robots carrying takeaways at various boarding gates in the Satellite Hall of Baoan Airport. It is reported that when passengers place an order for takeout on Meituan, the robot "Little Wasp" will deliver the food to the designated boarding gate, completely bidding farewell to the "marathon" meal pickup across regions at the airport.

At present, brands such as Starbucks, KFC, Heytea, and 711 have all entered the smart food delivery service system in satellite halls jointly launched by Meituan and Shenzhen Baoan International Airport.
According to user Ms. Liu: “HiTea is on the other side of the satellite hall of the airport. I used to have to walk a long way to get it and then walk back. Now after I pass the security check, I open Meituan to place an order, and the little robot is delivered directly to the boarding gate. It is also very cute and will shout, "Come get takeout." "
"Little Hornet" is the latest indoor and outdoor integrated intelligent delivery robot developed by Meituan. It has mature multi-modal perception, scene understanding and positioning and navigation capabilities, and can move freely through complex crowds.
So far, "Little Hornet" has been piloted in multiple parks in Shenzhen and Shanghai, and has delivered more than 10,000 orders in total, making it a reliable unmanned delivery expert in the eyes of many users.

Data shows that the furthest delivery distance of "Little Hornet" at Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport is close to 1 kilometer, which can save users nearly 10 minutes of round-trip time on average.
Meituan said that based on years of research and development of smart software and hardware, it will continue to explore closed and semi-closed areas where delivery is inconvenient for riders, such as scenic spots, comprehensive shopping malls, transportation hubs, and medical institutions, and strive to provide more efficient, accurate, and safe unmanned delivery services, and continue to create a more convenient consumption experience for users.
