Blogger Digital Chat Station broke the news,The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8Gen4 model is SM8750, code-named SUN. It is built based on TSMC’s 3nm process. This will be Qualcomm’s first 3nm mobile phone chip.It is reported that,Qualcomm Snapdragon 8Gen4 uses TSMC's N3E process, while Apple's A17Pro, which has been mass-produced, uses TSMC's N3B process.

Industry insiders say that the N3B node used by Apple on the A17Pro and M3 is relatively expensive, so TSMC will switch to N3E with higher yield and relatively low cost. Apple A18Pro will also use the N3E process.

In addition, another major change in Qualcomm Snapdragon 8Gen4 is that it bids farewell to the Arm architecture and adopts the self-developed Nuvia architecture for the first time. It will adopt a new dual-cluster eight-core CPU architecture solution with 2 NuviaPhoenix performance cores and 6 NuviaPhoenixM cores. This will be a major change in the history of Qualcomm Snapdragon 5G SoC.

Judging from the information exposed by digital chat sites, the overall performance of Snapdragon 8Gen4 this time will be comparable to the Apple A18Pro that will be launched next year, which is worth looking forward to.
