Tesla design director Franz von Holzhausen recently said that the company is considering integrating electronic and manual door unlocking devices, which are currently located in different locations, to make the door handles more intuitive and easier for passengers to use in panic situations.

It is reported that relevant U.S. agencies have launched an investigation into the possible "electronic door handle failure" problem in some Tesla electric vehicles. The main reason is that some accidents caused the external handles to malfunction, resulting in children being trapped in the cars. A total of about 174,000 vehicles were involved.

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said it is further evaluating the scope and severity of this problem. If it is ultimately determined that the electronic door handle problem poses an unreasonable risk to the vehicle, the relevant vehicles will face a recall.
