On the evening of September 17, Apple announced that it would release a software update to address camera issues on iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro. It is reported that although the iPhone 17 series will be officially released on September 19, early reviews of the iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro have evaluated the new features and flaws of the devices.

Most reviews praised the iPhone 17 Pro's long battery life and rich color options, and highlighted the ultra-thin design of the iPhone Air. However, some reviews have pointed out camera issues in Apple's 2025 iPhone series.

Henry Casey of CNN Underscored mentioned in his iPhone Air review that he encountered a problem when taking photos at a concert: the LED light panel on site interfered with the lens, causing the photos to appear abnormal. Henry Casey said that among the concert photos he took with his iPhone Air, one out of every ten photos showed "small black patches" and "squares and localized areas in a white wavy pattern."

Apple explains that this type of issue occurs "in rare cases when extremely bright LED light shines directly into the camera." Apple has begun developing a software update to address this issue, but has not yet announced a specific release time.

It is understood that iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro will be available and shipped this Friday. Apple may launch a small system update simultaneously on the day the device is launched to fix the problem as early as possible to prevent widespread impact.
