Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities issued a statement saying,A gold bracelet belonging to the pharaoh Amenemope of the 21st Dynasty was stolen from the restoration laboratory of the Egyptian Museum.This bracelet is set with spherical lapis lazuli beads and has important historical and artistic value. At present, the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage has officially handed over the case to the police and other relevant departments for investigation.

In order to fully investigate the incident, relevant departments have set up a special working group to conduct a systematic inventory and verification of all collections in the Egyptian Museum Restoration Laboratory.
At the same time, the image data of the stolen bracelets have been distributed to airports, ports and land and sea border archaeological checkpoints across Egypt to strengthen monitoring and defense. To ensure the smooth progress of the case investigation, specific details will not be disclosed to the public for the time being.
