On September 19, Zhao Han, co-founder and chairman of the well-known chain catering brand Yunhai Cuisine, died of a sudden myocardial infarction in Kunming Tongren Hospital on September 18 after treatment failed. He was only 40 years old. Zhu Haiqin, founder and CEO of Yunhaiyao, confirmed the news in a post on Yunhaiyao’s official Weibo and posted an obituary issued by Zhao Han’s family. The obituary shows that the farewell ceremony for Zhao Han's body is scheduled to be held at 11 o'clock on September 20 at the "Shenyuan Hall" of the Kunming Funeral Home.


Public information shows that Zhao Han graduated from the Chinese Academy of Renmin University of China. In 2009, he co-founded Yunhai Cuisine with his cousin Lu Zhitao and his friend Zhu Haiqin, bringing Yunnan cuisine out of Yunnan and developing it into a nationally renowned catering brand. He is committed to inheriting Yunnan food culture and promoting the development of Yunnan's food industry, and has won honors such as the "Rejuvenating Yunnan Talent Award".
