As the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival are approaching, the Jiangsu Provincial Consumer Protection Commission released an investigation report on third-party train ticket grabbing platforms on the 22nd.The Jiangsu Provincial Consumer Protection Committee found through 4,507 valid questionnaires, actual testing of the entire process of 9 major platforms (including Ctrip/Qunar/Fliggy, etc.) and agreement text analysis that: for popular routes such as Nanjing South-Beijing South G4 and Nanjing South-Qinhuangdao G1236, platform acceleration package charges vary widely (5-70 yuan/person), with more than 80% concentrated in the 30-50 yuan range, and there are widespread inductive reminders that "the higher the payment, the higher the success rate."

The survey shows thatThe 12306 official platform was the first to successfully wait for the two test lines, while nearly half of the third-party platforms did not issue tickets throughout the entire process. What is even more noteworthy is that the actual ticket issuance time for the 70-yuan VIP service on one platform was later than the 12306 standby ticket source, and the 50-yuan accelerated package on another platform failed to grab tickets in the whole process. The high-priced service has no substantial relationship with the ticket grabbing effect. The so-called "speed up" and "guaranteed success rate" propaganda are suspected of misleading.

The investigation also revealed problems such as forced bundling of acceleration packages and opaque rules for refunds and changes in the platform service agreement. The Jiangsu Provincial Consumer Protection Commission reminds consumers: "The technical advantages of third-party platforms lack empirical support, and spending more money may end up being 'trapped'."It is recommended to give priority to the 12306 official channel when purchasing tickets for double festivals to avoid paying extra fees for invalid services.
