According to Korean media reports,Micron has recently been recruiting Korean semiconductor engineers on a large scale, especially senior talents from competitors Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix.Industry insiders revealed that Micron is contacting and recruiting engineers with extensive experience in Korean companies through LinkedIn to work at its wafer fab in Taichung, Taiwan.

The factory is also Micron’s largest DRAM production base in Taiwan, China, and an important base for the production of HBM, which is indispensable for AI.

The report pointed out that many of the positions provided by Micron are highly related to HBM and advanced packaging technology, aiming to quickly make up for its shortcomings in HBM production capacity. In order to attract top talents, Micron offers highly competitive salaries.

Industry insiders estimate that the annual salary (including bonuses) for senior executive positions can reach up to 200 million won (approximately RMB 1 million). Some Korean engineers have already obtained senior executive positions at Micron.

The report also mentioned that Micron not only issued job offers to Korean semiconductor engineers, but also extended invitations to employees of foreign semiconductor equipment companies and display companies with branches in South Korea.
