The three major operators of China Unicom/China Mobile/Telecom have launched eSIM mobile phones online, covering the whole country and supporting iPhone Air.It should be noted that the biggest pain point of the current eSIM mobile phone business of the three major operators is that it requires an offline version, which loses some of the original convenience of eSIM, and many users complain.

In this regard, Shenzhen China Unicom has given its own solution - door-to-door eSIM processing.

China Unicom Shenzhen issued a document tonight saying that you can make an appointment to apply for eSIM at home. You only need to fill in the appointment information, and then customer service staff will come to help users activate it within 24 hours.

In addition, it also supports services such as mobile device data migration guidance, new iPhone series mobile phone guidance, free whole-house broadband testing, and rapid repair of home network faults.

Officials emphasized that currently all China Unicom business offices in Shenzhen can handle eSIM services.

According to blogger "Kang", the reason why it must be activated offline currently is that the generated eSIM QR code cannot be used to take photos or screenshots of customers, because anyone can use the card after scanning it, so it must be offline.

Even if door-to-door service is enabled, the rules are the same. The generated QR code cannot be saved or disseminated to customers, and can only be handled by the business hall staff.

The blogger also emphasized that the current authentication is quite powerful. If two terminals log in to the same account at the same time, the card will be locked.
