AMD graphics cards have always been said to be ready for the future, and their performance will continue to be optimized and improved with subsequent driver updates. The latest test results of Hardware Unboxed (HU) once again confirm this statement:With the latest drivers and game patches, the performance gap between Radeon RX 9070 and its competitor RTX 5070 has significantly widened.
HU compared and tested the performance of RX 9070 and RTX 5070 in 23 games. The test results show that,At native resolution, the RX 9070 is already about 13% ahead of the RTX 5070. When the RX 9070 was launched, its average lead in HU's evaluation was only 4%.

Even with the addition of their respective super-score technologies, the RX 9070's lead remains solid. When compared using FSR 4 and DLSS 4 "Quality" modes, the RX 9070 maintains a 13% performance lead over the RTX 5070 (94 FPS) with an average of 106 FPS.
This gap also remains unchanged in "Balanced" and "Performance" modes, which also shows that FSR 4 also performs quite well and does not let DLSS 4 catch up.
In addition to its leading performance, the RX 9070 is also better in terms of cost performance. The current prices of both graphics cards are close to the official MSRP. The RX 9070 is equipped with 16GB of video memory, but the RTX 5070 only has 12GB.
Of course, it needs to be pointed out that the RTX 5070 still has advantages in ray tracing performance, and the game ecosystem and additional features of DLSS 4 are also important considerations for some players.
