The high-definition version of Pokai Games' classic tower defense game "Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted Edition" will be officially released on October 23. Recently, Laura Shigihara, the original composer of "Plants vs. Zombies", complained about the sound effects of "Plants vs. Zombies: Remastered Edition" on the social platform X.
She said in a tweet that when she was making the music for "Plants vs. Zombies", she deliberately designed it to be a dynamic sound effect, so that the instruments could be gradually added with the intensity of the zombies to avoid hearing fatigue; but now the "Replanted Edition" 1-1 is all about drums - after many years, the team has become bigger, but the dynamic sound effects are gone?
In addition, Rich Werner, one of the original artists of "Plants vs. Zombies", also posted on X that the so-called early sketches displayed in the replanted version simply do not exist.
Rich Werner said: "I have to make this clear...those so-called "early sketches" of "Plants vs. Zombies 1" are all bullshit. What's even funnier is that they also included disco zombies - but the estate of Michael Jackson sent us a lawyer's letter asking to change this character. I redesigned it on the fly that day, and there was no way there were any "early concept drawings."
He further explained: "I don't know who drew most of those pictures, because when I designed many plants, the sketches were all in my own hands - and these things are not my works at all."
