“Our current navigation system,Indeed, from the perspective of time and frequency, it has exceeded GPS."."It has been five years since the global Beidou system was established. Its on-orbit operation has proven that its stability, accuracy and continuity remain world-class."Introduction by Lin Baojun, Chief Designer of Beidou-3 Satellite System.

According to People's Daily, the "Beidou Satellite Navigation System Development Plan until 2035" clarifies that on the basis of ensuring the stable operation of the Beidou-3 system, my country will build a next-generation Beidou system with more advanced technology, more powerful functions, and better services.
"The key technology research for the next generation Beidou system has been launched," Lin Baojun said,Around 2027, my country will launch three pilot test satellites to carry out next-generation new technology system testing; around 2029, it will begin launching the next-generation Beidou system networking satellites; and it will complete the construction of the next-generation Beidou system in 2035.
The next-generation Beidou system is characterized by “accuracy and reliability, ready access, intelligence, networking, and flexibility”.It will provide global users and other positioning, navigation and timing systems with meter-level to decimeter-level real-time, high-precision, high-integrity navigation, positioning and timing services covering open space on the surface and near-earth space.
"The next-generation Beidou system is highly anticipated, especially its ability to cover deep space." Lin Baojun revealed that the next-generation Beidou system will insert "road signs" from the periphery of the earth to the moon and even further into deep space, forming a "lunar Beidou mini system" to provide navigation and communication services for future manned moon landings, lunar bases, and Mars spacecraft.
Lin Baojun introduced that our country has recently successfully constructed the world's first three-star constellation in the cislunar space based on the Distant Retrograde Orbit (DRO). The cislunar space refers to the three-dimensional space outside the geosynchronous orbit and is mainly affected by the gravity of the earth and the moon. It is a huge area extending from 36,000 kilometers to 2 million kilometers from the earth. It is rich in strategic resources such as material, energy, and orbit.
The three satellites deployed and developed by the "DRO Exploration and Research in Earth-Moon Space" have now stably established million-kilometer-level inter-satellite measurement communication links in the cis-lunar space, and have achieved a number of original scientific and technological achievements, laying the foundation for my country's development and utilization of the cis-lunar space and leading the exploration of cutting-edge space science.
"It can be said that the three-star constellation in the earth-moon space is an extension and leap of the next-generation Beidou system. "Lin Baojun revealed that he plans to establish a "unified earth-moon space time and space benchmark" in the future.
This means,Whether they are users on earth or astronauts on the moon, they use the same time system and coordinate frame. The Earth-Moon constellation will perform time synchronization and data exchange with the Beidou system through ground stations and space links to ensure that the Earth and the Moon are unified in time and space.
