According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, Apple plans to introduce vapor chamber cooling technology similar to the iPhone 17 Pro to the new generation of iPad Pro. This new feature is expected to be launched as soon as possible on the next generation iPad Pro equipped with TSMC's 2nm process "M6" chip. The liquid cooling system will help the device alleviate performance limitations caused by overheating when handling high-intensity tasks.

Gurman pointed out in the latest issue of his "Power On" newsletter that as chip performance continues to improve, Apple is considering adding a vapor chamber to the iPad Pro to support more powerful computing power and workloads.

If the new technology is successful on the iPhone and iPad Pro, Apple may continue to equip other passive cooling devices, such as MacBook Air, with similar systems.

It is estimated that the iPad Pro update cycle is about 18 months, so the next generation model is expected to be released in the spring of 2027.
