The flight attendants on ordinary flights are generally stewardesses and stewardesses, and they are all young people, but Spring Airlines has begun to recruit "stewardesses." According to reports, Spring Airlines recently held a recruitment press conference in Lanzhou. At the press conference, Spring Airlines announced the launch of a special recruitment program for “flight attendants”.
According to him, the recruitment of cabin crew positions is open to married women with children. The age is relaxed to 40 years old, the educational requirements are full-time undergraduate degree or above, the height is 162cm to 174cm, and there is no work experience limit.
According to the person in charge of recruitment of Spring Airlines, this move is in line with the rapid recovery trend of the aviation industry and meets the needs of diversified employment. It is expected to recruit 30 to 60 people. Training will start in early 2026. Operational strength will be formed that year to reserve talents for the company's Lanzhou base and Shanghai headquarters.
"The main targets we recruit every year are fresh graduates from undergraduate and junior college, and the annual recruitment scale is 600-700 people. Spring Airlines has about 3,400 active flight crew members, with an average age of 28 years old, and 70% of the personnel are under 30 years old."
"The recruitment of flight attendants in Lanzhou is mainly due to the talent demand brought about by the continued growth of western routes. At the same time, flight attendants have advantages such as affinity in the cabin."
Rich life experience makes flight attendants more calm when dealing with emergencies. They are good at anticipating the needs of passengers and are especially good at taking care of child passengers. As the "intimate sister" in the team, they can also enhance the cohesion of the cabin team.Currently, 74% of the 88 working flight attendants at Spring Airlines have been promoted to management positions.
It is understood that Spring Airlines is positioned in the low-cost airline business model and is also the most profitable airline in the mainland. On August 28, Spring Airlines released its first half financial report. In the first half of 2025, the company achieved operating income of 10.304 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.35%; net profit attributable to the parent company was 1.169 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 14.11%.
For comparison, in the first half of this year, Air China, China Eastern Airlines and China Southern Airlines, among the three major domestic airlines, continued to suffer losses.
