Recently, an input device called Melt Mouse is being crowdfunded on Kickstarter. This mouse is mainly made of glass material. It is not only a mouse, but also integrates touchpad and numeric keyboard functions to achieve "one mouse, three uses".
The surface of Melt Mouse is essentially a touchpad that can recognize finger movements. Since it can detect multiple fingers at the same time, it also supports two-finger gesture operations. This makes it particularly convenient to use as a touchpad in certain applications.

The manufacturer claims that the mouse provides tactile feedback and offers a resolution of up to 6000 DPI, and it also retains two physical buttons on the side of the mouse.
When used as a numeric keyboard, the Melt Mouse surface will display a dot matrix to indicate the position of a single number. These 12 dot matrix positions are not limited to numerical input, and users can customize them through the accompanying software.
The manufacturer says this feature is useful for professional applications like Photoshop or Premiere Pro, and different profiles can be set up to suit different workflows.
Melt Mouse is currently crowdfunding on the Kickstarter platform, and backers need to contribute at least approximately US$237 (approximately RMB 1,682).This does not include shipping, taxes and import charges, and if all goes well, deliveries are expected to begin in September 2026.
