According to CCTV News,Today, the new T3 terminal of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport will be officially opened, and the fifth runway of Baiyun Airport will also be put into operation on the same day.This marks that the third phase expansion project of Baiyun Airport, a major project in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and a key national transportation hub project that has taken more than five years of construction, will be officially put into operation.
The total investment in the third phase of the Baiyun Airport expansion project is 53.77 billion yuan, which mainly constructs the T3 terminal, two new runways, the four east and west corridors of the T2 terminal, and a comprehensive transportation center.

After the expansion, Baiyun Airport has expanded from the original "three runways, two terminals, and single tower" to "five runways, three terminals, and twin towers."
Baiyun Airport has also become the first airport in China to operate five commercial runways for civil aviation.It can meet the annual passenger throughput of 120 million passengers and the annual cargo and mail throughput of 3.8 million tons. The terminal capacity can even carry 140 million passengers and 6 million tons of cargo and mail.
According to the "Baiyun Airport" public account, China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, China United Airlines, Juneyao Airlines, and Okay Airways will be the first batch to settle in Baiyun Airport T3.
Among them, China Eastern Airlines’ international flights will temporarily remain operated at T1 terminal.
What needs to be reminded is thatToday, in addition to the 21 flights in the picture below, other inbound and outbound flights of the above airlines are still operating at the T1 terminal of Baiyun Airport.

Starting from October 31, domestic inbound and outbound flights of China Eastern Airlines, Shanghai Airlines, China United Airlines, Juneyao Airlines, and Okay Airways will all be operated at Baiyun Airport T3.China Eastern Airlines' international flights will temporarily remain operated at T1 terminal.
It is understood that two parking buildings, P11 and P12, are built on both sides of the T3 terminal, with a total of about 2,800 parking spaces. After opening, 1,800 parking spaces will be temporarily opened.
The intercity train Baiyun Airport East Station (T3) will be opened simultaneously with the T3 terminal. Passengers can take the intercity train to the T3 terminal.
