According to news on October 31, Beijing Ideal Auto Co., Ltd. today took the initiative to file a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Recall Management of Defective Automobile Products" and the "Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Recall Management of Defective Automobile Products".
According to the official statement, the vehicles within the scope of this recall have insufficient anti-corrosion properties of the coolant. Under certain conditions, the cooling aluminum plates of the power batteries and front motor controllers in the cooling circuit may corrode and leak, causing the vehicle to have a fault light illuminate, limited power, and the inability to power on. In extreme cases, the power battery may thermally run away, posing safety risks.
Regarding this recall, Ideal CEO Li Xiang also publicly stated that this recall is a voluntary recall.
"Accident investigations take time, and sometimes they don't come out for a month or two. We have discovered the hidden dangers that caused the accident, and we can't wait when facing a one-in-10,000 risk. The accident may be one in ten thousand, but life only happens once, and it's 100%," Li Xiang said.
