According to CCTV's "Rule of Law Online" column, recently, Internet celebrity "Chai Daodun", who has attracted widespread public attention for maliciously smearing Fat Donglai, was arrested by Pingyang police in Zhejiang Province along with his wife Xiao Mou on suspicion of producing and selling counterfeit and inferior products. Chai, whose online name is "Chai Daodong", has more than 200,000 fans on the short video platform and is a self-media blogger in the field of jade.

In April this year, he posted multiple videos on the Internet, claiming without factual basis that the jade sold by the well-known supermarket chain Fat Dong Lai "costs tens or hundreds and sells for tens of thousands", and claimed that the company evaded taxes.

After the "Fat Dong Lai" scandal, "Chai Dao Nai" was publicly questioned by netizens for malicious marketing. At that time, Chai Naton also publicly stated that the local area did not want local protection, and challenged netizens who opposed him during the live broadcast.

But things soon took a turn. The market supervision department where Fat Donglai's company is located made a surprise inspection of Fat Donglai Supermarket, and the results confirmed that all the jade sold by Fat Donglai was clearly priced, with a gross profit margin of less than 20%.

At the same time, when Chai Donglai was carrying out the so-called "anti-counterfeiting" campaign, he took the opportunity to divert traffic and sell jade bracelets, jade jewelry, etc. on his short video platform.

In the live broadcast room, he said that the jewelry he sells "at worst must be worn by concubines in the palace."

In fact, after many consumers purchased "palace jade bracelets", they found out after testing that they were dyed bracelets and the more they were worn, the more they faded. Some were even directly rejected by the appraisal agency because they had no appraisal value.

On April 25, Fat Donglai sued Chai Daunong in the Xuchang Intermediate People's Court on the grounds of commercial defamation and infringement of reputation rights. Chai Daunong, who has always been tough-talking, apologized.

In May, the Xuchang Intermediate People's Court issued a ruling requiring Chai to immediately delete all infringing videos on the platform, and the Douyin platform removed the relevant videos.

On July 2, Netcom China’s WeChat official account issued an article saying,Because "there is no factual basis to deliberately smear the product quality of a certain company, maliciously slander the image and reputation of a certain company and entrepreneurs, and take the opportunity to attract fans and attract sales." The relevant accounts involving Chai Daodun have been closed in accordance with the law and contract.

On July 22, Pingyang County Xiaoya Tea Co., Ltd., of which Chai’s wife Xiao is the legal representative, was fined by the Pingyang County Market Supervision and Administration Bureau of Wenzhou, Zhejiang for falsely promoting the effects of “removing dampness and protecting the liver”, selling unlabeled products, and failing to establish a purchase inspection system.220,000Yuan.

Wenzhou Chaishi Liquor Co., Ltd., a company affiliated with Chai Daundun, was also fined for publishing advertisements containing false content.6000Yuan.

Wenzhou Pingyang police investigated the case based on consumer reports and found that after successfully attracting traffic, Chai Yunnan, a blogger who claimed to be "anti-counterfeiting", and his wife Xiao were suspected of selling fake and inferior jade products through their live broadcast room.

On September 8, Chai and others were investigated by the Pingyang County Public Security Bureau of Wenzhou City on suspicion of producing and selling counterfeit and inferior products, and were formally arrested on October 17.At present, relevant cases are still under further investigation.
