AMD's X3D processor will welcome a new member. In the PassMark benchmark database, the Ryzen 7 9700X3D based on the Zen 5 architecture has appeared. In the previous generation, AMD did not release the 7700X3D, only the AM4-based Ryzen 5700X3D. The 9700X3D is expected to be the second 8-core processor in the Zen 5 X3D series.
It is expected to inherit the positioning of the 5700X3D and be launched at a slightly lower frequency than the 9800X3D, but with its additional 96MB L3 cache, the game performance will still far exceed most non-X3D models. It has become an ideal choice for users who pursue a cost-effective gaming experience.

PassMark data shows that the 9700X3D has a single-core score of 4687 and a multi-core score of 40438, which is slightly higher than the 9800X3D. However, it should be noted that there is only one running score at present, which is not enough for reference.
In addition, the 5.79GHz frequency displayed is a bit high, which is likely to be the result of an overclocking or inaccurate data sample.
Previously, there was news that AMD is preparing Ryzen 7 9850X3D and Ryzen 9 9950X3D2. With the addition of this 9700X3D,Zen 5’s X3D product line has reached six models, which will undoubtedly further consolidate AMD’s position in the gaming field, especially since Intel currently has no real X3D competing products.
