Microsoft recently launched a multi-app batch installation option in its App Store. This option is used to solve the problem of users needing to install multiple apps in batches. Previously, the client version/web version of the Microsoft Store could only download and install one app at a time, which meant that users needed to go back and forth to different app pages multiple times to click download and install.

The batch installation option can solve this problem, but there seems to be a limitation: Microsoft has launched a multi-application installation page. On this page, users can check multiple applications recommended by Microsoft, such as Tencent Conference, etc. After checking, Microsoft will merge them into one installation package to perform batch installation when downloading.

This installation package is essentially just a downloader with an ID, so the application itself still needs to download files online through this downloader to perform operations. However, the entire step does not require additional operations by the user to quickly install multiple applications in batches.

I didn’t expect that Flash Center could also become a recommended application:

Unfortunately, Microsoft does not seem to allow users to customize the applications they need. That is, only the applications recommended by Microsoft can be checked and installed in batches. It seems that it should be mainly for users with new PCs or reinstalling the system.

Of course, Microsoft recommends different applications in different markets. In the Chinese mainland market, Microsoft recommends Tencent Conference, DingTalk, etc., while in the US market, it recommends Adobe series software, Microsoft Teams, ChatGPT, WhatsApp, etc.
