The "China Mobile 5G Mobile Phone Product White Paper (2026 Edition)" was officially released a few days ago. For eSIM, which has attracted a lot of attention recently,It is proposed that each eSIM terminal can have at most one embedded eSIM card chip. The eSIM card needs to be encapsulated inside the terminal and cannot be removed, and it must have the ability to "machine card lock".When the eSIM card is removed and placed in any terminal other than the factory one (including terminals of the same model), the eSIM card must stop providing services to the terminal.
When the eSIM terminal recognizes that the embedded eSIM card has been replaced, it should be prohibited from enabling the card.
In addition, the terminal needs to have the ability to restrict users from downloading domestic and overseas card data based on current location information.
When the identification terminal is in mainland China, it is prohibited to download the eSIM Profile of overseas operators and operators in Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.
When the identification terminal is outside mainland China, it is prohibited to download the eSIM Profile of domestic operators.
All eSIM terminals need to be registered with China Mobile and provide terminal IMEI and EID related information. Terminals that have not been registered cannot handle China Mobile's eSIM mobile phone services.
In terms of frequency band requirements, NR mode must support n41/n78/n28, and it is recommended to support n83.
