According to foreign media storyboard18, as India’s gaming industry gains momentum, the Google App Store is positioning itself as the core of the country’s rapidly developing digital ecosystem. Aditya Swamy, managing director of the Google Play Store in India, Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand, believes that in the next stage of industry growth, Indian developers will transform from "local success stories" to "global leaders."

Speaking in an interview on the sidelines of the India Game Developers Conference, Swamy said the Indian gaming ecosystem has grown significantly in size and vision. “It’s exciting to witness the current scale of growth in this industry,” he said. “Two things stand out, one is how Indian developers have grown into a global force, and the other is how technology, especially artificial intelligence, is helping to accelerate this process.”
He further added that artificial intelligence will have a transformative impact on developers. "Game designers now have powerful tools at their disposal to develop games faster, test prototypes more efficiently, and bring products to market faster," Swamy said. "As the quality of games improves and scales faster, the Indian gaming ecosystem will experience strong growth, which is one of the core aspects of Google App Store business."

Swamy also provided practical advice to developers developing or listing games on the Google Play Store. “You have to have a clear idea of your target audience—who your users are, what devices they’re using, and what kind of experience you want to provide them,” he advises. “A game may be great on its own, but if it doesn’t run well on people’s phones, they’re not going to play it.”
“The vision for development within the ecosystem is rising significantly,” he said. “It’s no longer just a few studios that have such ambitions. Everyone here is thinking about how India can grow into a force with global influence.”
Swamy added: "With the global spotlight on India and our reputation in various fields continuing to grow, the future looks extremely exciting. I am deeply honored to be a part of this development."
