At last week’s Tesla shareholder meeting, Elon Musk once again made a shocking prediction:Humanity is expected to achieve some form of "digital immortality" within 20 years through the combination of its brain-computer interface company Neuralink and Tesla's humanoid robot Optimus.

According to his vision, this process will be achieved in two steps:First, Neuralink captures and creates a "digital snapshot" of the human mind, covering memories, thinking patterns and even personality traits.

Optimus is a bipedal robot designed to navigate the real world, interact with humans, and perform complex tasks, making it an ideal physical platform for digital consciousness.

However, Musk also emphasized that this "immortality" is not a perfect copy of the self.Due to the accuracy limitations of the mental snapshot itself, and because the consciousness is placed in a brand new mechanical body, the "you" after uploading will be different from the original self.

In this regard, Musk cleverly compared "you will be different in five years from now", implying that identity itself is a dynamic process of change, and also gives this technology a deeper philosophical meaning.
