The website of MSNBC, a well-known American news media, has officially changed its name to MS.NOW, launching a new domain name ms.now and a new brand logo. The move is another key step after it announced plans to rebrand earlier this year. The layout of the new website is basically the same as the previous MSNBC website, but the overall visual style is completely new. The iconic peacock logo has been replaced by the "MS NOW" flag logo that represents the new brand image.

The launch of the MS.NOW website marks the full operation of its independent newsroom. MS NOW has been operating separately from NBC News since October this year, a move stemming from Comcast's decision to divest its cable channel business, including MSNBC. With its new domain name and overall refresh, MS NOW aims to completely distance itself from its historical association with NBC.
It is worth mentioning that MS NOW did not acquire the domain name msnow.com, which is currently occupied by a website with almost no content and only mentions "Motorized Snow vehicles." However, fortunately, after the newly launched .now top-level domain name was opened for registration by Amazon in 2024, MS NOW was able to successfully activate the new domain name ms.now.

Interestingly, even though Microsoft sold its stake in the MSNBC brand more than a decade ago, MS NOW still retains the "MS" brand identity. However, the abbreviation now no longer stands for Microsoft, but "My Source for News, Opinion, and the World (My Source for News, Opinion, and the World)."
